Games like Quiplash for your next game night

Want the fun of making your friends laugh and choosing a favorite answer? Start with how much your group wants to write. Punchline is our paired-answer game; the options below offer different ways to get everyone involved.

Create a party and share the code. Gather in the lobby, then set up Punchline when everyone is ready.

Punchline: answer duels for 3–14 players

In PartyBox’s free browser game, each player receives two private prompts. Two answers to the same prompt face off, and everyone except their authors votes. Points reveal after each matchup.

Choose Clean, Spicy or After Dark together. Pick Punchline if your group wants to write its own jokes and have every player take part in the answer duels.

The Vote’s Out: vote on everyone’s answers

For 3–12 players, this browser game asks everyone to answer each question, then vote. Choose it for a wider field of answers per question.

Hot Seat: the group supplies the punchline

PartyBox’s Hot Seat is for 3–14 players who prefer choosing to writing. Privately nominate who best fits a Most Likely To prompt, or pick an A/B/C/D reaction about the spotlight player. Reveal the group’s choices together. There are no points or overall winner.

Quiplash: the original reference

Jackbox’s Quiplash supports 3–8 players in head-to-head answer battles, plus audience voting. Choose the original if audience participation matters to your group.

Which should your group choose?

  1. For writing jokes and paired voting: Punchline.
  2. For voting on several answers to each question: The Vote’s Out.
  3. For friends who would rather tap a choice than write: Hot Seat.
  4. For the original game and its audience mode: Quiplash.

Gather your party before the first prompt

Host Punchline to open a PartyBox lobby, then share the party link or code. Everyone can gather before you choose settings and begin. You can also choose another game in the lobby. For remote play, keep your usual voice call open.
