Writing & voting · 3–14 players
Punchline
Same prompt. Two very different answers. Punchline is a writing-and-voting game where the best punchline is whatever makes your table laugh.
How to play
- Each player gets two private prompts and locks answers one at a time.
- Two players answer each prompt. Everyone else votes between their answers; authors sit out their own matchup.
- Votes and points reveal before the next matchup. A recap closes each round.
Choose Clean, Spicy or After Dark together. Short, specific answers often land hardest.
Before you start
Bring 3–14 players, each with a screen for writing and voting. Agree on Clean, Spicy or After Dark before starting; After Dark is for adults.
Estimated time for six players with default settings: About 10 min. Discussion and host settings can change this.
What a round looks like
Two players independently write answers to the same prompt. The rest of the group votes for the answer they like more, while those two authors sit out. PartyBox reveals the votes and points before the next pairing.
Host a party, share the code, then choose Punchline. No browser account or download needed.
