How to play with these questions

Choose five or ten questions that suit the people playing. Take turns reading one aloud, give everyone a moment to decide, then reveal your nominations together. Point to someone in the room, or write a name privately before showing your answers.

Decide together whether you can nominate yourself. Let people pass on a question, keep explanations friendly, and invite the nominated person to share a story if they want to. You can enjoy the answers without keeping score.

Playing remotely? Keep a voice or video call open and say or show your choices on a countdown. These questions work as a read-aloud game; they do not need an account or a particular app.

Want private votes and a group reveal? Try Hot Seat

PartyBox Hot Seat is a browser party game for 3–14 players. Host a party, share the invite, and gather everyone in the lobby before starting. Players privately nominate someone for the game's questions, then see the votes revealed.

Hot Seat also mixes in spotlight scenarios: everyone except the person in the spotlight chooses an A, B, C or D reaction that sounds like them. The spotlighted person does not answer their own scenario. There is no correct answer, no points and no overall winner.

The 30 questions on this page are original read-aloud examples for your group. Hot Seat uses its own question packs; this page does not add these examples to a match or import custom questions.
