Privacy

What we use. PartyBox stores nicknames, avatars, game actions, drawings, scores and secret seat credentials to run your party. Your browser remembers your seat and preferences. Anyone with the room code can watch public play; secret roles stay private until revealed.

Diagnostics. We count game starts, failures, startup timings, connection interruptions and sponsor interactions without advertising identifiers. Short-lived abuse counters use a daily hash of your network address. Hosting providers also process network requests to deliver the service.

Optional growth analytics. A random browser identifier connects visits, campaign tags, party joins, invite actions and game starts so we can measure whether friends bring new friends. We store its hash, campaign labels and referring website hostname, never player names, answers or seat credentials in analytics. It cannot identify the same person across devices. No fingerprinting or third-party tracking pixel is used. Browser privacy signals (GPC / Do Not Track) turn this tracking off.

Retention. Parties expire after 20 minutes with nobody connected and are removed during routine cleanup. Support reports become eligible for deletion after 30 days; aggregate counters and growth events after 90 days. A limited suppression hash prevents deleted analytics from returning for 90 days. Clear site data to forget your saved seat.

Choice and contact. No behavioral advertising runs here. When opened as a Discord Activity, PartyBox requests your basic Discord profile to fill in your nickname and offer your profile picture. A secret-derived identifier reconnects your seat within that Activity. Your nickname and selected avatar are visible to your party and its public table. Discord access tokens are used briefly for verification and are not saved in your browser or party records. Sponsor links take you to the advertiser’s site. Support messages and optional reply addresses are visible only to the operator. Request access, correction or deletion; never include passwords or seat tokens.
