Continuum: a free Wavelength-style party game

Looking for Wavelength online? Continuum is PartyBox’s free, independent browser alternative for friends who enjoy interpreting clues on a spectrum. Each person locks an individual guess from 1 to 10 before the target and answers reveal together.

Get your group ready

  1. Host Continuum and share the party code or link. The host plays too; gather 2–12 people on their own phones, tablets or computers.
  2. Play around one table or use your usual call if you’re in different places. A Shared Screen is optional.
  3. Choose settings in the lobby, then start when everyone is ready. The default waits for guesses without a countdown.

How a round works

  1. The clue-giver privately sees a whole number from 1 to 10. Give a spoken clue without saying the number.
  2. Everyone else reads the clue their own way and locks an individual numbered-dial guess. Closer guesses earn more points.
  3. Reveal the target and guesses together. The clue-giver earns the average of the submitted guess scores, and each starting player gets a turn giving a clue.

Before you host

Does everyone agree on one guess?

Each player locks their own number from 1 to 10. Closer guesses earn more points, and the clue-giver receives the average of the submitted guess scores. Compare your different interpretations when the target is revealed.

Is Continuum free?

Yes. It runs in your browser without a PartyBox account or an app installation.

Can we play in person or from different places?

Both work. Talk together in person, or use your usual voice call remotely. Each player joins on their own device; PartyBox does not provide built-in voice chat.

How many people can play?

Continuum supports 2–12 players, including the host. Bring your own group and share the private party link or code.

Is it the same as Wavelength?

No. Continuum has its own rules, individual guesses and scoring. If you want the official Wavelength app, use the official FAQ linked above.
